The Prospect of Whitby

Me and Rich went to a river-side pub in Wapping, which is one of the cutest pub I've ever seen in London. Everythings in the pub looked so old and seemed weakly glittering that mysterious atmosphere amused me. The restaurant side where we couldn't hold the seat was a bit higher up than the rest of the room and surrounded by glass windows all around. That was obviously the nicest place to take a seat in the entire pub but all the tables were filled with very local granny and grandads. Well... no chance to get a seat in this case.

Outside of the window from my seat, a hungman's rope was dangling in the air on the river Thames. It freaked me out a bit to imagine the old times when people drunk beer and eat as if those dead bodies are no matter to their appetite. But this is a part of the history of this country and this rope gave me an idea to imagine it. It's better than none. I just tried not to think much about it while I was eating. I had really tasty bangers & mash (sausage & mash potatoes) dish and, according to Rich, mine was much better than his. He was having chicken with some cheese on top. After the pub meal we went down to Central London for Rich's clothes hunting. We went to the Selfridge and it was very busy that made me grumpy. Rich was trying to find a pair of suits for the important meeting in next week and also both of us were looking for the formal dress for Jamies christening in the end of the month. We couldn't find any clothes after 3 hours so went down to Lacester Square for the film "Life Aquatic". In the film, it seemed nothing was happening but all the elements that appears on the screen were cute. Characters were cute, for example, there was a man who just played David Bowe songs in a foreign language with an acoustic guiter. It sounded like almost Bosanova or something, which made the film so charming. A dog missing one of his leg ran much faster than humans and that's just amazing. Certainly the film got lots of experiment in it. Very sweet and I love to see the film with a subtitle again.
